Basis for New Song for Next Album
Ernie decides to buy a new hat at a large country music festival. His song "Jacky Joker" is just being played over the speakers. A member of the DIRTY NUGGETS (studio band) asks the salesman whether the singer of the song would receive a reduction. The man doesn't know Ernie and agrees. So Ernie steps forward and is introduced but the salesman doesn't believe a word.
"Sing it to me," he says. Ernie obeys. At first the salesman cannot believe what he is hearing. Not before long he starts smiling and is intent on giving Ernie the hat for free. But Ernie does not want to know, pays the full price and even hands him one of his CDs.
